3 Months

Our babe is starting to smile! She reacts to Jordan and I when we talk to her and her cute little personality is making its entrance.

She seems to be getting lower on the height and weight percentiles each time we go to the doctors. She is gaining weight as she should, she's just a little one!

Lu still likes to sleep in our arms. I'm lucky if I get 30 minutes of nap time after I've set her in her crib. Some training is going to have to be done. But let's be honest, I'll take any excuse to cuddle this sweet thing.

The Rollover

I am the worst at forcing Lucy to do tummy time. She hates it, so therefore, I hate it.

But I've been trying to be better because it makes me feel dumb when the pediatrician asks if we've been doing tummy time.

"Yes, but we could do better."

"We're trying, but we should probably have her do it more."

"Ummmm.... she's done it a little bit!"

So I put Lucy on her tummy and decided to grab the camera. I literally turned around and when I looked back down she was on her back.

I questioned whether I thought I put her on her tummy, but really put her on her back. So I flipped her back over only to watch her rollover!!

I freaked out and called Jordan. Did you take pictures or get it on film? Ummm.. no...

Even though I'm holding a camera.

Luckily she did it 2 more times so I could get documentation.

I got so excited it made her cry!

Lucy's Blessing Dress

My mom is absolutely amazing and surprised me by making Lucy's blessing dress! She told me about it just in time for me to pick out the color of roses I wanted on the dress. It turned out stunning to say the least. Talk about spoiled rotten.

THANK YOU MOM!

I had to take some detail shots of it because the pictures from the blessing day just didn't do it justice.

Lucys Baby Blessing

Our sweet Lu was blessed this week. We were so lucky to have had Jordan's parents come into town as well as my sweet sister, Chels, and her family. It is a wonderful thing to be surrounded by family.

The day before I came down with some weird bug, but felt almost back to normal Sunday morning. SO many prayers were answered. What a blessing, I wanted to be able to enjoy her blessing day and smootch that little face of hers over and over!

Jordan gave the sweetest blessing to our little babe. My heart was completely overflowing with gratitude and love, I couldn't stop the tears from streaming down my face. It was so tender and sweet. Just like a fathers blessing should be.

My mom made Lucy's beautiful blessing dress. I plan to take some details shots of just it that I will post soon!

Sweet daddy.

 Our 4 generations picture. :)

Smilling at cute pictures taken of Luc.

My cousin, Sidney, and I are just a few months apart. We both had our first baby a month apart!

Thank you to all who helped make it the special day that it was!

Christmas 2014

For our Christmas present this year my parents took the entire family to Mexico! It was such a treat to spend time with everyone. Lucy decided to go on a nursing strike so that made things awesome. Lots of pumping for me and trying to calm a screaming baby for everyone else. ;) No worries, she is over it and the both of us are feeling much better now!

Besides that, everything was perfect. We spent lots of time swimming at the pool and at the beach, playing games, and eating!

The Botanical Gardens, Story #1:

We all thought it would be fun to go see some neat plants. As we walked in we read a sign that warned against mosquito bites. The workers there told us to put lots of insect repellant on otherwise we would get bitten to death. (This is when I kicked myself for having forgotten my TerraShield oil. I hate insect repellant!) Well, one of us must have gotten too used to spraying sunscreen on his face, because Jordan Troxel grabbed the repellant can and sprayed his entire face over and over. Eyes closed and everything. This is probably one of those stories that is funnier if you were there, but we were all dying. His face remained greased for the rest of the tour.

Story #2:

After we got into the gardens we saw a tour guide just a little ways ahead of us with a group. So, of course, we caught up behind him and listened in. After only a few minutes he told us that we would take a break for tea for 10 minutes. We felt like we had just started the tour, but waited patiently while the rest of the group drank their tea. The tour began again, but to our surprise for only a few more minutes again. Then everyone started getting on a bus. Because we were in the back of the group when we went to board the bus, the bus was already full. My mom asked, "is another bus going to come back for the rest of us?" to which the tour guide replied, "Are you part of the Puerto Vallarta day tour group?" "Ummm. No. We're just visiting the Botanical Gardens."

Turns out this was a special tour group that was visiting different sites all over the area. Up next? A  3 hour drive to another tour site! Good thing they didn't have room on that bus or we would have been in for a rude awakening! Hahahaha.

That gave us a good laugh.

Here's some pictures of our short lived Botanical experience:

It was so freaking bumpy the boys ended up just carrying the stroller. Spoiled Lucy.

On another day everyone went zip-lining! Chels and I stayed back with the babes and took pictures.

Below is everyone whale watching:

 My cuties.

And the rest of the pictures are all of us just hanging out at the house and in the city. Take me back!!!!

Emmeline is the sweetest girl in the world! We love her so much.

Hahaha. She wasn't sure about her first pool experience, but she ended up loving it!

 Christmas morning with fresh faces!

 Dad meditating.

 Uh, yum!

Playing games and betting with candy, of course!

And here are some glamour shots of the sweet babe in her swimsuit. :)

We all played our little hearts out. Mom and dad too much. Both left the country with at least one broken toe.

Thank you, mom and dad!!!
